a journey to turkeye..

I was in Turkeye last week for 5 days and it was such a good one.. would be more enjoyable if i gotta hubby and kids came along.. but with God's will.. we'll be there one day..

Blue Mosque is so great! i love every inch of it.. internal & external.. this mosque shows that Islamic influence and our artistry skill is sooo great.. then came to Dolmabache Palace.. my oh my, this super huge palace is too good to be true! gold plated arch, 3D painting on the domes and a plus point here for a student - please get ISIC card before visiting here.. u only have to pay 1Turk Lira instead of 20Turk Lira with this card! what a saving!

Istanbul is really nice and have superb views & great places to visit .. they have stunning historical palaces and mosque to visit to and also the Grand Bazaar, Mahmut Pasha and spice market to spend all your money..  :)

We were there just i time for annual Tulips Festival and tulips bloomed from every corner of the Istanbul city with various colors and shapes.. And visiting Istanbul this time around (early April) is the best time and recommended for those whom planning to do so... bright and shiny, with 12-15degC.. soothing weather! A denim jacket with a newly bought Pashmina are enough to wrap ur body!

Hammam? i went to Cemberlitas Hammam for experience sake.., well shouldn't explain much.. please google for this.. hehehehe..

Shopping? i have limitation to shop here.. budget was pretty tight but the temptation was too strong to resist.. scarf Tie Rack like was just barely 10Turk Lira, their signature light and lantern around 30-200Turk Lira.. and lot more good things to buy..

crossing the Irish sea...

belfast - wicklow - dublin - cork - dublin - belfast! been there done that! within 3 days and i am exhausted now. The journey was a mix of great but challenging. Only 2 of us - Ed and me whom finally made the trip to Ireland tour we called it.. Got lost and found everywhere due to poor signage. Thanks for tomtom Cik Ed which saved us too!

It was raining heavily in that sheepy island! all day raining and wet.. and we drove from county to county starting from Belfast City Airport towards Dublin and our final destination was Cork where my niece stayed! Thanks Ja & friends for nice stay at ur house!

But, the best part of it, the picturesque along the journey was really great with untouchable green fields over the slopes of the hills. It was like you are looking at paintings! it was there, the scenery was great! and i knew if my late father's still around, he might love this kind of places too.

Pictures will be uploaded soon once i got it from Ed. My Sony gone haywire already!

where to next??

I want to go...

dream places...

My crave for travelling never end! This year 2008 has brought me & hubby (some alone..) to few countries or cities like London, Paris and Indonesia.

And on top of that, i went to Dubai & Abu Dhabi alone in Jan 2008.
This is the view of the Burj of Arab in real... and it was astonishing.... Dubai is a very high tech country with lots of great architecture... Would like to go there again one day...

For the year 2009...

Beyond Our Shores

Read NST newspaper (Life & Times) yesterday after long hour of conducting training in the suburb of Manjung had click my mind...about...

1. what am i doing?
2. do i really like this job?
3. why don't i get to do something like...

I read about this retired teacher, a veteran lady whom like to travel around the world and make a living by jotting down the all the experiences and whatever she came through during her trips. Back at home, she churned all the notes into nice story line and book it & sell it. Ha ha ha...

Hmm...that reminds me of my evergreen dream to be part of the team for Travel & Living channel contributors... I want to be another Ian Wright or Samantha Brown.. here comes our new traveller Rina Abdullah.. ha ha ha.. dream dream dream..

Well, back to our topic, actually.. there are lots of thing you can make do in your life actually. Never tell a person that u got nothing to do, so no money. There are many ways to do it weeeiii... But we just need to open our eye, ear and mouth bigger a bit only.

And back to my three Qs', i think whenever i am out of job, tak kira la study leave, or pencen ke... i'll do this- travel and try make a living from this hobby. How i wish...

Soul Theraphy in United Emirates

After few years of dreaming about going to Dubai... Alhamdulillah finally manage to get blessing from hubby & good offer from MAS, return tickets for only RM1600++ on top of forgo my Enrich points & half of hubby's. Travelling for almost 8 hours from KL to Dubai via Karachi was quite wonderful. Being seated next to Finance Manager of Abbot (Pakistan), we spent time talking about our countries etc. Lots of Q about Malaysian History were unable to be answered correctly as am not good in that. Sorry sir. But then again, i wish Pakistan & Malaysia is just next door for his company produces Pediasure, Isomil nutrition milk for kiddies.. and he can get it at staff price.. ha ha ha... I can't afford to buy that in Malaysia.. it'a expensive. Then he's off in Karachi. The next person's coming was another mid age pakcik Pakistani in late 40's. A businessman in Dubai.. He's off to Dubai after coming back for a short holiday in Karachi. Dressed in modern attire with nice suit while 80% other Pakistani population in Economy Class that day were dressed in Shalwar Khamis + all sorts of smells (attar and curries etc) He he...

Shortly after landed in Dubai, Linda (a friend working in Abu Dhabi hospital) came to fetch me. Tell you, taxi rental and food are expensive in UE. Trip from Abu Dhabi-Dubai is cost around UED200. 2nd day in UE - we off to Dubai city from Abu Dhabi by bus (UED20) for sightseeing. Visiting Wafi Mall - a very posh mall with Egypt Design. I can't afford to shop here.. After having lunch and some window shopping, I tried to get my Dubai Planet Hollywood shirt but unfortunately it runs out of stock for the moment. The PH is just somewhere outside Wafi Mall. Then we off by taxi (UED17) to Naeff area to get some cloth or materials in Pulwanis. This shop is so famous for Malaysia. The owner and co-workers can speak well in Bahasa and you'll find the tagline for the shop is 'AIR CREW SHOP'. Once we enter the shop, there are pairs of aircrews inside, doing some material shopping etc. This shop offers good material at good price and it melts RM1300 out from my pocket...Shhhuuuussshhh... :)

But the amount i paid is for 15 pairs of combination chiffon, crepe satin and good cottons... so worth it isn't?

well, that's all till now. will cont..
